We bad prepared a pretty copious report of the

obliges us to lay n over till Monday morning.

5T7,3180.41' Co.l.l.lslo3. — The sterin.boat Lake
Erie, on going out for Beaver yesterday morning
came in contact with the Allegheny, one of the
ferry boats owned by Mr. Lee, running from Alle
gheny across to Saw Mill Run. The apron of the
ferry boat struck the starboard side of the Erie
back of the boders, tearing oir some of the siding
stanchions, Sr.., of the engine•room so as to let
down part of the cabin on that side, and breaking
the supply pipe from the boilers. The Lake Erie
immediately returned to the city, fur repairs having
made signals ta the Beaver, then on the way down
which boat returned also to the wharf, and tuok
down the passengers and freight of the Erie.
The officers of the Lake Erie attribute the
occurrence to carelessness and mismanagement
on the part of the ferry boat manager&
