The river at this point is gradually seceding ap
gain, with about 30 inches in chtumel, which is
still one foot higherthan the lowest mark attained
this season. As, *wirier, there has been more
or leas rain in this vicinity, and on the rivers a
bove, we think the . river wall be kept at about
wham it is ibr a while, if indeed we are not fa
vored with xi further rise. The late' partial rise
does not seem to have affected the river mach,
low down, having low its effect, owing to the pre
ceding very dry weather, before reaching over
half way to Cincinnati, u we learn by late arrivals

Banks on the 30th ultimo, by which many vessels
