weather was cool and pleasant fix. out door trani

FLOUR—The receipts conque light. and sales
are confined to limited lots, at a partial decline
from former rates. Sales amounting to 300 Mils
were ellected on the wharf at 4,25 p bbl. Sales
from skirl were light. Probably not exceeding 200
bid., in dray load lota at prices ranging according
to quality, from 4,33 to 4.62 p bbl.
GRAlN—Receipts continue very light, and we.

days has been very unsettled, accompanied by
heavy showers of rain.
The river at this point. is 6 fret water to Chan'
net, and from the recent heavy rams.there it a
probability of a further rise.
At Cincinnati .on the 25th the river rose h Lute
in the morning, but to the afternoon was at a
stand.
Frequent showers of rain had fallen. with a
prospect of its continuance.
At Louisville, at the latest dates, there woe ay
feet ten inches water in the channel, and the rot.
was pouring down in torrents. A rise was antici
pated.
At Nashville on the 26th, the rain hod caused a
rise in the Cumberland, but it had commenced
falling again, with some three feet water on the
shoals.
The St. Louis Revedle of the 25th inst, states
hat the Missouri river was reported falling with
from 3 to 4 feet water in the channel tram St. Jo'
sephs down. From Peru down the Illinois river
is also reported falling, with from 4 to 5 feet water
on the bars. Ti.e Siewnrt from Galena re'
ports the Upper Miasissipm killing slowly. On the
