quiet, and cot much doing in the way of sales,
which were confined almost entirely to limited on
retail sales to trade.

prices from store show very hula venation from
former rates. Sales from first hands presented a
slight improvement from previous days quotations;
with sales of 170 bbls good Ohio brands at 4,061 c
p bbL Sales front more are regularly effected by
dray load lots at prices ranging according to quali
ty. from 54,121 to 84,22 p bbl. Receipts by river
continue light, and as considerable shipments are
now making East, prices are likely to continue
firm, if indeed an advance should not occur.
Wawa—Some small lots sae arriving by river,
but =les ore on a limited scale. We note a sale
on the wharf, of_lB sacks of a GM article of rad,
