Tuesday Monling, July 4. 1.1:9484
The recturenee of the Ith of July, on our usual
day for writing oat artier:ll review of the roar.
ket, makes it necessary in its to defer any very
extended review of the markets for the week,
ending to day. It can, moreover, be the more ea
sily dispensed with, from the fact of the general quL
ernes which prevails in the market, in reference
to almost every article of trade, and the even and
almost entirely unchanged Mate of the prim of
every thing.
The weather, during the week. has. for the moat
past, been excessively warm. accompanied by Ire
queot and teensy showers of rain, in consequence
of nu m b, ‘ we. have had a lerther rise in the rivers,
and there,is now a stage of water even more than
adequate to the business done in that quarter.
The Cabal has again resumed its regular boar
nets, and Uniting to the partial suspension coasts'
quent upon 'the re-building of the Aqueduct at
Freeport, a fait amount of business is doing in the
way of transportation through that medium, at the
name rates of freight which existed previous to the
destruction of the Aqueduct.
