tory of Mr. Caul tortuous course on the Wilmot
Proviso (vacation, which we commend to the alien.
Lion of every Whig, who, from his attachment to
that question, has thought of giving hi, vote to.
come third candidate.• By so doing. he may help
to elect a certain enemy to the principle in que*
tine, instead of an hopest maa, of known liberality
of sentiment, who has declared approval of
opinions averse to the:extenaion of ilailery, and
also tells us, he will leave it to the decision of the
people, through Weir represents/lies. AG. Miller
said:
At the tint session of the twenty-ninth Congress
the two million bill, as it was called, came to the
Senate from the Houte, with the Wilmot Proviso
in it. Ott the last day of the session, (10th of Aug.
