In regard to Congress, there should be the
greatest clra and judgment exercised in the se
lection. 11 there is 'single welt-found.' doubt of !
faithfulness to our cherished principles nod to North
ern right., lo regard to any candidate the nomination ,
he should tin rejected. We cannot afford to run any
risks on thin question. The position of a mem
bee of Congress is becoming daily of more irri.
parlance, and the next Congress will have wanes
before it to try the faithfulness and ability of our

information is necessary, to enable the Convention
with propriety, to recommend the adoption of en h.

Western termini of the Philadelphia and 'Pittsburgh
Railroad, and the Baltimore and Olio Railroad at
