little, if any, variation from the previous day’s quo

It baviog become known that the highly respected ;
and competent Principal of the Grove -Academy, the
Rev. J \V Seoul-intended to change hir residence, and
of course to withdraw! himself from that Institution as
Principal, the apprehension asp* o that hi* place could
not be readily supplied, and that the catise of education,
so satisfactorily land thoroughly conducted nuderhl*
superintendence, ; miglil be seriously checked. It gives
the undersigned, however, much pleasure to slate, and
to assure the public st large, ihnlbii snecessors as Prin
cipal* of said Academy, the Rev. Joseph R Wilson and
Mr. J U Meredith, possess all the qualifications that
were so pre-eminent iii the late PrincipoL Their edn
oationis of the first order, and they Jtave already had
considerable experience in the care end edocauonof
youth. We have no hesitation, therefore, in recom
raendiug the Institution to the fuvor and patrouage of
parents and others desiring to procure for their youth a
good and subsiautial educsiion, whilst at the same time
that moral and Christian feeling and deportment are iu
culcated and promoted, without the alas of which, edu
cation is rarely of any advantage. -
