Way, woo-hoed, by Judge Hampton, for Fri
day, but a, Judge Williams was then occupy
ing the bench in the trial of a cause elan
where reported, the hearing was fixed for this
morning. Air. White was in Court, with his
authorities, but there was no jngde to hear
him. and he was compelled to let the mattor
drop. In the meantime, the work is being
.pushed forward by the company, and the pier
will, in all probability, he finished before the
application for n preliminary injunction is
decided.

My face healed up, but the lutlammation was not
thoroughly removed. In February, 1157, he pro

the dameae again returned, and no violent was the
pain that I could not rest al eight. Late in May I
returned to Credential., and aga in placed myself un
der the charge of Dr. Newton, w lob whom I remain
ed until September, during which time he used every
known remedy, wed partly succeeded In checking the
disease ' but when 1 returned home there were still
three discharging ulcers upon my fate. I contained
using Newton's preparations, and also medicine that
I got from Dr. Ely, but the Cancer emitter:Rol grow
ing until it had eat off the loft eider of my nese, the
greater portion of my left check, sod had attacked
my len eye. I had given up all hope of over being
cured, sin. Dr. Ely eald lie could only glee relief,
but that a cure ens impossible. In March, 1858,
