Veit enacted by the Senate and Rouse of
Representatives passehe United Stales of Amer
ica in Congress mbled, That the counties
of . Hancock arid McDonough, in the State
of Illinois, be and the same are hereby de
tached from the northern distriat
and'the same are hereby 011ie - hid to the
southern district of Illinols 7 and said coun
ties Shall hereafter constitute a part of
said seuthern district of Illinois the same
as if said countietrhad originally belonged
to said stintheni 'district.. , •
Sec. 2. And be-it furher - enacted, That
in shy suit or stilts pending at the time
of the passage "of this act either in the
circuit or district court of the northern
district of Illinois v)here any such suit or
suits could originally, have been brought
in the iliouthern,district of Illinois-if said
counties .of Hancock and McDonough had,
at.the - rime of commeneing"nny such Suit
or suits, formed a part of said' southern
district, any -party to any . such salt or
suits, on application to the court, upon the
oath either 'of Snob party t hiSor her agent
attainey, nii4.have. any "itch cantle,
together with the, original files thereof and
a certified.. copy of the recorded.orders or
decrees in -said cause r transferred to the

ments or decrees shall hay a like effect
tho Ugh said counties of Hancock and Mc-
Donough had"not been detached from said
northern district; and.any party thereto
shall be entitled to have any judgments or
decrees executed by like final process or
otherwise, the same aslf the said counties
of Hancock: and McDonough had net been
detached from said northern district, which
said process shill also be executed and re
turned' in the same manner as if said
enmities bad not been detached from said
northern district- •
Sec. 5. Arid be it further enacted, That
so much of the act to which this is an
amendment as in conflict herewith be and
the same is hereby repealed.

to the act for-the admission of. the States
of lowa and Florida into the Union," ap
proved March third, eighteen hundred and
forty-five, be and the same are hereby Ye
' leased and disChirged 'from the limitation
contained, in said section; and the General
Assembly'
of the State 'of lowa may make
such disposition of said land as may be

Be it enacted by the Senate and !louse of
Representative. of the United States of Amer
tea, in ,Congress arremb4d, That the first •
Meeting of the commissioners named in
the act entitled "An act to aid in the con
struction of a railroad and telegriph line
from the Missouri river to the Pacific ocean,
and to scours 'to the Government, the use
of the same for postal, military, and other
purposes," approved July second, eighteen
hundred and sisty-two, and of the five
commissioners directed by said act to be
appointed by the Secretary of the Interior,
shall lie held at Bryati lull, in the city of
Chicago, in the State of Illinois, on the
first Tuesday of September next at twelve
o'clock. at noon. A notice of said meeting,
to be signed by at least ten of the com
missioners named in said act, shall be pub
lished at least once a week during the six
successive week], commencing 'cm the twen
tieth of July, one thousand eight hundred
and sixty-two, in one daily nowepaper in
each of the cities of Boston, New York,
Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Chicago, and St.
