and a halt and fifty cents a- pound; bacon
(hog round) thirty-five cents; common
brown sugar, forty cents; and firewood,
from country carts, is sold at the rate of
twelve dollars a cord.
At the auction, yesterday, at Mr. Samp
son Jones' grocery store,:corner of Ninth
and-Main streets, butter sold st one dollar
and twenty-fire cents a pound.
