OTAL CARBON OIL
Patented October Btb, 1861-
The bat that ~bave ever y»t been offered to the
public. They are the beet for the following reason* t
1. Because, being of an oral shape, the glass .U
everywhere equally distant from the flame, so that:
the draft is stronger and more regular*
2. The oral shape is better adapted to rcelat the
effect of cuddeu expansion, so that it Is impossible to
crack them.
' 3. Tbe glass ismade largely of Lead and Fear lash,
giving a great degree of strength and elasticity. The,
chimneys which housekeepers bare found to be so
brittle as to crack, oven when, not in assure invaria
bly made of Lime Glass Instead of VJijit Ginas, of
which ours are manufactured.
4.. But the greatest advantage of tboi Chimneys Is
-that. when you hate one II will 'last forever, and If
any housekeeper breaks one-by the beat of the lamp,
let her call at the manufactory and wo will replace
her cracked chimney by a duen whole oust. This
proffer does not Include accidents or-those cases-of
breakage where the chimney has, through inexpert*
enee, been screwed so dosely to the lamp aa to pre
vent its expansion when heated.
Manufacturers and consumers of Carbon Oil,-who
have Halt the magnltudeof the obstacle, which lias
existed lh the great expense of chimneys, in the way
of the universal use of the oil, have found a remedy in
the Oval XX Flint Glees Chimneys, which hae mate
rially listened the cost of Carbon Oil light to those
wbO'tise them, and lncroasod the consumption of oil
consequent upon the loaned expense for chimneys.
