Allegheny Cattle Market.
Dec. 19.—Tha offering! of Beef Cattle daring the
put week 1 were comparatively light, while the do
maud nu fair, and the whole number*with the ex*
ceptton of 30 head, were eold. Price# have undergone
u slight advance, and we quote the market firm at
prices ranging from 2 to 3&c P« &» according to
quality.
The receipts of Hogs have alien off slightly, tut
the supply is ample to meet the demand. The whole
number sold at AUlnder’i aggregated 1009 head, for
which the price, ranged from $2,50 to $3, 26— mostly
at $2,80@53. Our packers refuse to buy to any ex--
tent, in consequence of tbo prices being too high for
their Tiews, tnd the unfavorable condition or the
weather for slaughtering.
