The Wuhuigton Star, of Monday evening, has
the following from an eyo-witness
I left Washington for Centrantleand Bull Run
on Sunday morning via Alexandria and Orange
road, now opened to a point a short distance this
side of Fairfax Station: Our train took up the De
Kelp Regiment which we left tom Dona, at the
IltitiOttj and proceeded on loot viz Fairfax Court
House to the scene of battle, the roar of which
could be heard with terrible and increased dielfile
