ideot Stephens, of the Confederacy, went

to arrange with Commissioners from tbe
North to have tbe arms then at Nassau en
route from EoglaLd to tLc Soutb, wLicb
could not run tbe blockade, shipped to
Canada for distribution through the North
west for the military posts of the Sons of
Lil'tny. A portion were to La scut to
Cuicago. Some time last summer, a man
called at lialena, sitb a small box cod
ta iling Greik fire, shells, and Laud gre
nades, professing to be from Kentucky,
od a member of the Order. Ho recog.
