The horaes stolen, 15th of Jsnuaav last, from the farm of widow Koss, situate oa I'luoketis Creak, Ljcomiog count;, were brought home last week, having been found at UarlejsviUe, Montgomery county, twenty miles north of Philadelphia. The thieves, William Reynolds atd William lHootbarr, both from the -vicinity of lUoorsburg, Montour county, after taking the horeei, which tbey did about eleven o'elork, rode thcra to Turbuttsville, Nor 'thumberUod county, where they eccrcted them during Friday the IGth. Thai eve ning they Ml Turkuttsville with a saddle, and stole another bridle on the way, from farmer by the name of dluffley, and arrived at Moorsburg before daylight, on Saturday morning, i7ih. Here they re mained until Sunday, when, taking advan tage cf tbe habit of tbe Danville bridge company to allow mcotiug going fwk. to pass their bridge without paying any toll, tbey crossed the Susquehanna and made towards Philadelphia. Traveling at night, and remaining quiet duriug the day, tbey effectually eluded pursuit. Arriving at tbe place above named, they were offirad bid, and conoluied to sell their plunder. Mootbart was arrested iu Philadelphia, April last, on a description of bis person and officers sent to tbe Chief of tbe Do tcotive Police, by Judge E'dred, and brought to the j til of this county by eon etablo Sloan. Whilst in prison bere be was visited by Judge E., to whom be con fessed, and gave information which led to the recovery of tbe horses. Soon after this, ho succeeded in effecting bis escape by burning loose tbe clasp of tbe inner door, and digging a hole through tbe wall of tbe yard. Where be is now no one, perhaps, in this section, knows; but to judge from his former conduct, be will hardly continue long without stealing other borses. He is described as a large, red faced maa, addicted to liquor. Reynolds is still at large. Information as to either will be gladly received by the Prosecuting Attorney of this county.
