Southwestern New York has been com

The stampede of live stock this fall from
this County has never been parallelled
aud must affect it injuriously for four or
five years to come.
Of apples and froit generally we have
none this year; of wheat, corn and buck
wheat enough for home use and some to
spare. Oats never yielded better. Fod
der was badly injured by being frosted.
Farmers will probably live comfortably
through the season, but can do very lit
tle towards paying up old indebtedness,
which in the aggregate is very large. Iu
