Forty-Five Persons
Picked From Sea
Havana. Sept. 12.—A ship's boat
containing 4 5 persons was picked up
yesterday off the Florida coast,-ac
cording to the wireless operator on
board the steamer Dade County,
which arrived here last night from
Progreso, who reports having re
ceived a wireless message to this
effect from the steamer Lake Le
daner, bound for New York. The
name and nationality of the vessel
from which the people came was not
stated.
Bishop Darlington to
Confirm Marietta Class
Marietta, Sept. 12.—At St. John's' 1
Episcopal church this evening the
Rt. Rev. Henry Darlington, D. D.,
bishop of the Harrisburg diocese,
will confirm a class of candidates.
He will also preach the sermon.
The Rev. Herbert B. Pulsifer will |
assist. The service Is at 7.30 o'clock.
There will be special music.
