The total yield of the State is given as 4,430,100 tons of which Bradford with 132,627 acres raised 172,415 tons. Susquehanna county with 107,- 666 acres coming next with 169,954 tons. Lancaster is third with 106,- 176 acres raising 159,264. Fourth place is held by Berks county with 153,857 tons, fifth by York with 146,- 772, and sixth by Tioga with 145,- 566 tons.
