DN'GER OF OVERCHARGED TANKS IS EXPLAINED To the Editor of the Telegraph: "In connection with the use of power spray tanks and other like appliances now so necessary for use; in working a farm, is the require-] ment of strict attention and careful following out of the directions of the apparatus that are given with the apparatus when purchased. Persons who understand the strength of tanks say the itested strength as shown in the directions coming witli | the apparatus should never be ex ceeded, without the possibility or likelihood of explosion. The tanks should never be crowded with pres sure. "Large tanks with the same thick ness of metal will not stand the same pressure as small ones of the same size. i "We have wondered why there is not also a safety blowout used on the tank, in addition to the pressure! gauge. 1 "These tanks are no- different in their nature and action than steam | boilers and soda fountain tarfks. andi it would be well for persons to be asi careful as users of these apparatus are. "Also tanks laid by without use] for a season, are liable to rust anil; weaken and care should be used in testing them before use. ! "SUBSCRIBER." ' V Funeral Designs j Special .
