Lodge Speech Leads
Wilson to Change His
Views, London Hears
London, Dec. 26.—A Morning Post
diaputch from its correspondent in
Paris declares there are indications
that President Wilson Is modifying
his views because of the criticism of
his policies expressed in the United
States Senate and led by Senator
Lodge.
The dispatch also declares there
is reason for believing that the Pres
ident is very anxious to return to
America the first of February with
i assurances by the Allies of a general
j agreement on the league of nations
project.
For these two reasons, it is said,
j the President will abandon his stand
that there should be no division be
tween the treaty of peace and the
treaty establishing the league of na
tions.
