Capitol Buildings, at entrance Fourth
and State Streets, Harrisbura Pa., at
10 o'clock A. M„ Saturday, %lay 11,
1918, the following buildings and
structures upon the premises within
the boundaries of the proposed exten
sion of Capitl Park in Eighth Ward,
City of Harrisburg:
Fourth Street—Nos. 137, IS9 and 141.
The purchaser shall pay to the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
through the office of the Superinten
dent of Public Grounds and Build
ings, Harrisburg. Pa., by certified
check or United States currency, the
amount at which the said building or
buildings and structures are awarded
to them, as follows: A cash payment
of 25 per cent, shall be made on day
of sale and the balance before enter
ing upon the property to remove the
material purchased.
In all cases where the premises are
unoccupied possession will be given
the purchaser immediately. Where the
premises are tenanted possession will
be given immediately after the prem
ises are vacated. The Commonwealth
will not be responsible for any dam
age to property after possession Is
given. Purchaser shall state at time
of their offer the time required to
remove the buildings and material
after being given possession by the
Commonwealth, which in no case shall
be longer than 60 days. All building
refuse shall be carted away from the
premises by the purchaser. All foun
dation walls must be taken down and
removed at least three feet below
level of street.
The Board of Commissioners of
Public Grounds and Buildings reserve
the right to accept or reject any or
all bids. The work of removal shall
be performed under the direction of,
and to the satisfaction of, the Super
intendent, of Public Grounds and
Buildings.
NOTE: The sidewalks and street
pavements are not to be removed by
purchaser of buildings or structures
under this schedule.

Prohibiting the depositing of glass
j nails, metals of any kind, or any other
I thing that would cause trouble to tht>
public travel or litter the highways
on any highway In the Citv of Har
risburg, a-nd prescribing a penalty for
the violation thereof.
Section 1., Be It ordained by the
Council of the City of Harrisburg, and
it is hereby ordained by authority of
the same. That the depositing of giass
nails, metals of any kind, or any other
thing that may cause trouble to the
public travel, or litter the highway
on any highway In the City of Harris
burg, Is hereby prohibited.
Section 2. That any person violat
ing the provisions of this ordinance
shall, upon conviction thereof before
the Mayor or any alderman of the city
bo sentenced to pay a fine of not less
than five ($5.00) dollars, nor more
than twenty-tlve ($25.00) dollars, ami
costs of prosecution, and default '
thereof shall be imprisoned In the jail
of Dauphin County one day for each
dollar of the fine Imposed.
Section 3. That all ordinances, or
parts of ordinances in conflict with
this ordinance, be and the same are
hereby repealed.
