I Food Production Depends on Labor State farmers institute lecturers who closed up the series until De cember 31, because of holiday week, report that at the sessions held in December they were showered with questions by farmers regarding pros pects for farm labor next spring, the value of farm tractors and methods of soil conservation, while their own inquiries revealed farmers disap pointed at corn production owing to frosts. In almost every county far mers declared that they intended to cultivate as much area as possible, but stated that the extent would de pend upon labor. The lectures held during the close of the week were in Lehigh, Perry, McKean, Fayette and Allegheny. Fayette and Allegheny, while coal and iron counties, will have exten sive acreages in corn and potatoes next year. Lehign and Perry will specialize In potatoes.
