Nov. 19.—Be fore going to the Metropolitan opera, house yesterday to address the pro hibition mass meeting:, William Jen nings Bryan granted an interview to newspapermen in the lobby of the Belevue-Stratford. He said he was in a hurry and he evidently was, but he cut the interview short when he was asked if he thought the activities of pacifists before the war had anything to do with drawing the nation Into the conflict. "That is not a proper question for a loyal citizen to ask." he shot back. "And I am through with you." "But Colonel Roosevelt says that is tlie fact.
