Board expired November 15, was a

boxes of knitted articles. In them
were contained sixty-three sweaters,

lets nnd socks. The two boxes held

Mount Wolf, Pa., Nov. 17.—A

band of gypsies camped within thej
borough limits Saturday evening, but|
were only permitted to stay over I
night, after which they were ordered

twenty-five in the band, with four

in the fall struck his arm against
the curb.—A small piece of an in- 1
delible pencil lodging in the right
eye of Miss Meta Miller, 14-year-old
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Miles Mil
ler, of Fourth street, almost resulted '
in the girl losing the sight of her
eye, which became infected. Miss
Miller was engaged in writing with
thu pencil last Monday evening,
when the piece broke off and Hew i
into the corner of her eye. At the
time nothing was thought of the!
matter until the following day.
when the eye began to swell and
closed entirely.—Placing a lighted
pips in his trouser pocket and then
changing clothes almost resulted in !
the burning of the house of John
Diehl, living in the vicinity of Rudy's,
mill, several miles from here, on 1
Wednesday morning. Mr. Diehl
hung the discarded trousers on the
bedpost, where they took lire from
the spark and then set fire to (he

Fabrics Company, is suffering from
severe burns about his eyes, the re
sult of sulphuric acid splashing Into
