Prayer For U. S. Army
At the Ohev Sholom Temple, in
uniformity with the proclamation of
the President, a special prayer was
offered at the services yesterday for
the welfare of the government, for
the safety of the men serving in the
Army and the Navy, and for victory.
Rabbi Louis J. Haas concluded his
prayer with an exhortation for vic
tory, "A victory crowned with jus
ce .\ with honor, and with peace that
shall be permanent and blessed."

tion berng present. The subject of
the Rabbi's discussion was "God and
