adorean Secretary of Foreign Affairs
yesterday sent a cablegram to the
Ecuadorean legation at Lima, an
nouncing that Doctor Perl, the Ger
man Minister to Peru and Ecuador,
resident at Lima, will not be official
ly received by the Ecuadorean Gov
ernment if he attempts to come to
Ecuador.
The action of the Foreign Secre
tary is understood to have been taken
to demonstrate Ecuador's close af
filiation with the union of the Ameri
can republics.
