Mr. Hoffman "Surprised" on Returning to His Home Dauphin, Pa., Jan. 11.—In order to 3ry some wood yesterday afternoon Umanuel Hoffman, of North Juniata street, put quite a large amount of it in the oven cf his range. As a result when he carte home last evening he found his house broken into and some what flooded. The wood had caught fire and neighbors noticing the smoke sent for the fire company. The hose cart, pulled by many hands, was < I rushed to the scene of action, the men I broke down the front door, and soon i had the fire out. However, when he arrived home Hoffman was not exactly pleased with the looks of his house. MRS.
