Martin, of Carlisle, will have to as sume the attributes of Solomon in deciding a dispute over a deer which Is claimed alike by Harrisburg and Carlisle men, and is now in cold stor age here awaiting a settlement of the case. Accordingto information brought by TV. D. Markley, of Harrisburg, his two eons, John E., and C. Donald Mark ley, shot a four-pronged buck near their camp in the mountains near Huntsdale, which was later taken from them by a party consisting of J. William Hoffman, of New Cumber land, Oren McGinegal, of Huntsdale: J. William Smith, Jacob Croman and Harry Gibb, all of Carlisle. Yesterday morning Constable Mc- Coy of Carlisle, went to the camp and eecured the animal, which had two bullet holes in its carcass. Which of these were caused by the boya and ■which by the other hunters, and which caused death, will have to be determined. Celebrating the first evening on which under the rules of the College Senate they are permitted to be out aifter 8 o'clock, Dickinson College freJimen last even ing created a panic in the Orpheum theater here and were dispersed by po lice with the arrest of a dozen for dis orderly conduct. Headed by an impromptu band, the freshmen in fantastic garb marched down High street until they came to the Orpheum theater. Some one cried fire and a stampede ensued, dur ing which several women fainted and narrowly escaped being trampled, while others were slightly injured in the rush. Marching a little further the fresh men were stopped by policemen and a number at tlie head arrested and lodged in the lockup. A rescue move ment proved futile and the tlrst-year men went to the campus after several minor tights with residents of the town along the line of march. Boy and Girl Romance Ends in Wedding Bells Dauphin, Pa., Dec. 5. Culminat ing a romance which started when they were grammar school students Charles B. Kby and Miss Theresa Douglass, of this place, were quietly married at the parsonage of the Methodist Episcopal Church by the Rev. Francis J. S. Morrow. Only im mediate members of their families were present. After a brief wedding trip they will make their home here. Woman of 70 Years Killed by Automobile Gettysburg, Pa., Dec. 5. Running across the road to get a pet cat, Mrs. Annie Trimmer, living about a mile from York Springs, was struck by an automobile driven by Harry Zlegler, of Wellsvllle, and died about an hour later. The aged lady, who is 70 years old, was knocked down, the machine passing over her. Recent Deaths in Central Pennsylvania Halifax. Mrs. Sarah ,T. Sweignrd, aged 71 years, died at the home of her son, Andrew Sweigard in Halifax township on Sunday morning from heart trouble. She is survived by three children, Mrs. Lewis Bowman, of Altoona; C. R. Sweigard, of New York, and Andrew Sweigard, with whom she lived. Marietta. John Steef.v, of Blalnes port, aged 78. died Sunday night. He is survived by five children and a number of grandchildren. Marietta. Mrs. William Jackson, aged 78, a native of Christiana, died from a stroke Sunday night. She was a member of the Friends' church. Her husband, five children and two brothers survive.
