Southern Railroaders Are
Taking Strike Vote
Nashville, Tenn., Nov. 27. Con
ductors, engineers, trainmen and fire
men of the Nashville, Chattanooga
and St. Louis Railroad were voting
to-day whether a strike should be used
to back up a demand that the road
discuss grievances with a Joint com
mittee of the four big brotherhoods.
The result of the balloting probably
will be announced Thursday.

QUOIT LEAGUE TO MEET
A meeting of the quoit league and
point committees of District No. 1 of
Dauphin county, will be held this
evening at the rooms of Camp No. 639,
P. O. S. of A. At the same time the
Wilkes-Barre parade committee and
the Past President's Association of
the county will hold a meeting as
guests of the camp. The joint county
committee will make arrangements
tor a grand rally and membership
campaign to be held on Washington's
birthday. The parade committee will
plan for the camps of Dauphin coun
ty to parade as a county delegation at
the next State camp sessions at
Wilkes-Barro.
