Macrory, secretary of the Pennsylvania State Christian En deavor Union, Pittsburgh, made an interesting address, and Mrs. C. O. 1-Terron, Philadelphia, wife of C. C. Herron, of Radiant Star Lodge, sang several solos. Mrs. Herron is a mem ber of tho American Volunteer Moce ment In Philadelphia. Hallowe'en was interestingly cele brated at tho home. Attractive deco rations arranged by Mrs. William H. Sheaffer were a feature. A musical program that included Instrumental selections by Mrs. Henrietta Van Horn, pianist, und John W. Cooke, clarinet, and vocal selections and dancing by Frank W. Roberts composed the pro gram. The guests also bobbed for ap ples and others followed out a real Hallowe'en program. Pennsylvania Guardsmen Are Strong For Hughes El Paso, Texas, Nov. 7.—The Penn sylvania election commissioners yes terday were guests of Major-General Charles M. Clement at a review of the Seventh Division, held on the parade grounds east of Camp Stewart. The commissioners viewed the pageant irom automobiles and wildly cheered the Keystone guardsmen as they passed in front of the reviewing stand. The commissioners to-day .are taking the. vote of the Pennsylvania guards men. Approximately 9,000 votes are ex pected to be cast for Hughes, accord ing to slmw polls.
