ADMISSION :: 25 CENTS
Of Special Interest to Music-Loving People of Harriiburg
Prof. C. W. Wallace,
the Eminent Blind Organist f Penna. to Give Week of Daily
Organ Recitals at
Grand Theatre
1426 Derry St., Beginning
Monday, September 11th.
The newest, largest and finest pipeorgan in this section of the State,
which has been building for several months and required three men
one month to install, will bef introduced to the music-loving public,
through a week of special display recitals, by Prof. C. W. Wallace, who
drew up the elaborate specifications for this big organ—which embodies
new and novel, as well as the best features gleaned from practical and
theoretical, as well as his own vast experience with all known makes of
organs. The mechanical appliances are considerably different than any
now in use on any local organ, and the practical mechanism is superior
to that of any organ heretofore erected by the Moller Co. It incor
porates features which adapt it equally well to motion picture, concert
or church work, and is easily the equal, as a musical instrument, of
any in the State, and by far Harrisburg's greatest. Prof. Wallace who
is a marvelously gifted organist has never been heard at his best in
Harrisburg, because of restrictions tmposed by all past engagements
here. It is the future policy of the Grand Theater (which, besides hav
ing the finest screen, and most softly and mellow-lighted pictures in the
city, is one of the newest, largest and is the best ventilated also) to de
vote a portion of each evening to an organ recital by Prof. Wallace who
will be given absolute freedom in the conduct of same, so that all, old
and young, and all degrees of musical training or appreciation will be
treated to a rich and rare musical entertainment as well as the hieheHt
class feature pictures and others. The public is cordially invited to at
tend the inaugural week beginning Monday, the 11th, at whioh time
Prof. Wallace will explain and demonstrate the numerous sets of ni D „
and their many beautiful blending combinations.
