New York, June 28.—Dealings di
minished steadily in the first hour and
came almost to a dead halt before
midday, the output for the forenoon
being the smallest of any session in
several weeks.
Attention was again mainly directed
towards Washington where the Mex
ican situation indicated greater ten
sion. Prices were well maintained In
the absence of pressure, the only ex
ception being Industrial Alcohol,
which yielded over three points on
small offerings. Some rails augmented
early gains, notably Ontario and West
ern which responded to the resump
tion of dividends. Bonds were ir
regular.
