Nailor, of West Main s'reet. which numbered twenty one. The largest hen tipped the scales at twelve and one-half pounds and the cockerels each weighed fourteen pounds. ( April 29. The Pennsylvania Railroad work train, em ploying about twenty-five men and sta tioned at Miliersburx for upward of fifty years, will lie discontinued after to-day. David McEvilla. conductor of the train lor several years, has a continuous service for the Pennsylvania Railroad Company of forty-three years and will be placed on the retired list on Sat j ttrday. He is a resident of Williams port.— A line of track is being built by the Midland Railroad people from the Pennsylvania tracks lo a point along the .Midland for the purpose of unload ing a quantity of railroad supplies, . rails, fish plates, etc., to be stored for future use. These supplies are said to be valued at $260,000 and were pur chased and paid for by the Midland i company from the Pennsylvania Steel Company several years ago. but when the Midland closed down the supplies were left al the steel plant at Sparrows i Point. Md. As the steel company is in need of the roont for other purposes, it was deemed proper to transport the material to Millersburg. where it is j hoped it will be soon put to use.—ll. A.
