Reading. St. Paul common and preferred. New Haven. Louisville and Nashville and Chesapeake and Ohio were advanced X to 2 points, while some of the special ties fell back moderately. Crucible los ing more ground than others of its class. Industrials were not perceptibly in fluenced by the rather plain intima tion that a substantial advance in prices of rails is contemplated. Ma rines and Mexicans also receded, main ly on realizing for profit. At mid-day the market was dull and irregular. Bonds were lower.
