MARKET DULL AND IRREGULAR Coppers and Specialties Grow Harder; Reading and Loco motive Advance By Associated Press New York, Feb. 26.—Such widely divergent stocks as Reading and American Locomotive were the lead ers of to-day's dull and irregular mar ket, each scoring a 2-point advance, while coppers and a few specialties were disposed to harden. Rails also preserved some semblance of firmness, but steady selling of tho war issues and petroleums as well as Marine preferred, United States Steel and a few other active stocks soon wiped out all gains. In fact, some leading shares repeated or fell under lowest prices of tho midweek. Support was again lacking, leaving a free field for the trading element. The closing was weak. Bonds were steady.
