Coal lands in the upper end of the

vey board of three qualitied members
|to assist in making a fail- and int
• partial county assessment, if a plan
now being considered by the county j
commissioners is adopted.
The plan in brief provides that the;
! count} commissioners appoint one
member who shall be a mining en-!
! gineer and if possible a realty ex
pert; another to be named by the
j coal companies, and the third lo be
appointed by the newspapers or in
dividuals who have been agitating the l
revision of the coal land assessments.
Eighth ward appeals were consid
ered by the commissioners to-day and
the revision was confined as far as
possible to coincide with the city's
assessment. To-morrow the commis
sioners will go to Williamstown. And
some of the board will have to go
up to-night—or 'round about 3:45 to
| morrow morning.
