DEPART FROM
WORSHIP FORM
I Father Huntington's Mission
Protestant Episcopal Event
of Decade
j Scores of pairs of curious young
eyes again gazed into tho kindly face
of a white-haired gentleman clad in a
peculiar cowl and cassock of monkish
pattern when Father Huntington held
the second children's service of his
popular preaching mission of St.
Stephen's Protestant Episcopal
Church. Dr. Huntington is father
superior of the Order of the Holy
Cross and his assistant, Brother Abi
shai, is a layman in the same order.
Both at all times are garbed as though
they might have been companions of
St. Paul on his missionary journeys.
Father Huntington held his first
children's service yesterday afternoon.
J The second to-day was equally suc
. cessful. The usual popular preach
• ing mission will be held at 8 o'clock
• to-night.
1 To-morrow will witness a departure
from the usual Sunday schedule in
J local Episcopal parishes. Services will
1 be held in none except St. Stephen's
; afternoon.
To-morrow morning the customary
' Sunday services will be held in all the
churches, with Father Huntington
preaching the sermon at St. Paul's
Church, Second and Emerald streets.
After noon the program at St-
Stephen's will be as on week days
i during the mission. Dr. Huntington
will conduct a children's service at
4.30 and the usual preaching mission,
with mission hymns, will be held at
8 in the evening. St. Paul's, St. An
drew's and St. Augustine's Churches
will combine with the Front street
I congregation in these services.
The mission services to-morrow at
St. Stephen's, like all the others, will
. be entirely public, with all seats free.
No offerings are asked at the mission
J services.
| Some explanation of the departure
I from the usual formal worship during
■ i the mission was given last night by
I Father Huntington when he preached
on "The Syro-Phenician Woman" and
| laid stress on individual belief being
jof supreme importance, as compared
jwith conventional belief. So long as
I the woman cried "Thou Son of David,
have meacy on me," which words meant
nothing to her, he explained, she ac
complished nothing; but when she
I prayed, "Lord, help me," in her own
tongue, she received what she sought.

Don't Be Lopsided
You're a real tnan physically. You like to bowl, skate,
play baseball, gun, fish, tramp, swim, and to do a dozen
other things that stir the blood.
You're a real man mentally. You are keen in your
work, up with the times, alive to the best that the world
has to offer of things intellectual.
Hut—are you a real man spiritually? Are you fitting
your soul for fellowship with the Infinite in the great
eternity beyond?
—How t>o Square Up—
Beginning to-morrow the Men's Class of Derry
Street United Brethren Church begins a campaign for
500 men by April 9.
Will you be one of the 500?
Think it over. Don't be lopsided!
The service starts at 2 sharp, and it's just an hour long.
Not a bit boresome, with stirring orchestral music, ring
