Young Couple Will Reside in
Pittsburgh After Western
Wedding Trip
The marriage of Miss Avis Lau
retta Grove, (laughter of the Rev. and
Mrs. C. H. Grove, to Professor Lewis
Elhtiff, of Pittsburgh, was a pretty
event of this morning at 9.30 o'clock,
at the bride's home, 2146 Green
street, with her father, who is pastor
of the Green Street Church of God.

Miss Helen Mae Shaeffer of Carlisle
played the Lohengrin Bridal Chorus
as a processional and several other
numtiers after the ceremony.
The bride wore a charming costume
of white •marquisette and carried a
shower of brtde roses. The matron of
honor, Sirs. Irid I**. Grove of this city,
was attired in a white lingerie frock
and carried pink roses.
A western wedding journey will be
followed by a residence at 7224 Her
mitage street, Pittsburgh. The bride,
who has a host of friends here, is a
graduate of Irving College, and Mr.
Pilhuff, a Tale alumnus, 1912, is a
member of the faculty of the Westing
house High school, Pittsburgh.
Dance For Young Folks
in Honor of Miss Kuhn
Mrs. Edgar S. Marks, Mrs. Lee Gold
smith, and Mrs. Jacob Lowengard
have issued invitation to about fifty of
the younger set. for a holiday dance to
morrow evening at Hanshaw's hall, in
compliment to Miss Mildred Kuhn of
New York City, who is visiting Mr. and
Mrs. Lee Goldsmith.
Green and white will prevail in the
decorations of the hall and there will
be attractive favors in the same colors.
The Stouffer orchestra of Carlisle will
play.
SPECIAL MUSICAL PROGRAM
There will be a special musical pro
gram Sunday evening at Fourth Re
formed Church, Sixteenth and Market
streets, by the choir, consisting prin
cipally of Christmas anthems and
quartets. The choir will number about
twenty-five voices under the direction
of Stanley G. Baokenstoss.

Mechanicsburg, Pa., Dec. 29.—Miss
Lena Mae Musser, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John B. Musser, of Me
chanicsburs and John R. Smith, son
of Lloyd Smith, of Wellsboro, were
married at 8:30 o'clock this morning
at the parsonage of St. Haul's Re
formed church by the bride's pastor,
the Rev. John S. Adams. The bride
was unattended. Following the cere
mony the couple left on an early train
for,eastern cities ou their honeymoon.
Upon fheir return they will reside in
Wellsboro. Mr. Smith Is proprietor
of an art and stationery store in
Wellsboro. Mrs. Smith is a graduate
of the Mechanicsburg High school. '
Mrs. Guy Alton Colt has gone home
to Doylestown after a visit with her
parents, Mr. and Ms. Daniel W. Cox,

Presents Fine Program
A crowded house and most enthusi
astic audience greeted the Camp Hill
Music Club last evening' at its annual
concert of Christmas music. Choruses,
quartets, vocal and instrumental solos

."Christmas Scenes," when the club
was assisted by Mrs. John Henry,

with a dinner last evening, at her

whole effect was heightened by the
subdued light radiating from the can

Ihe Maclay Street Church of God choir
will sing a cantata written by William
R. Spence, the well-known American
composer, entitled "The Story of Beth
lehem." Mr. Spence is celebrated for
his beautiful Christmas carols.

Fraternity Banquets
at the Engineers' Club
An interesting event of the holiday
season was the reunion and banquet
of Delta chapter, Omicron Pi Sigma
fraternity last evening at 8 o'clock at
the Engineers' Club, Front and Chest
nut streets.
The fraternity colors of blue and
gold prevailed in the decorations and
there were souvenirs for each guest,
bearing the O. P. S. monogram.

were quietly married Christmas day
I at noon, at the residence of Mr. and
Mrs. Grover Beck, 1234 Derry street.
The Rev. Robert W. Runyon, pastor
of St. Paul's Methodist church offi
ciated, using the ring service.
The bride, who was unattended
wore a dainty frock of white satin
and carried bride roses. A wedding
breakfast was served at the bride
groom's home, 1217 North Sixth street
where the couple are now residing.
W. A. Landor has returned home
to Canton, 0., after visiting Mr. and
Mrs. Alexander H. Roberts of Fifth
and Camp street.
RETURN TO ELM IRA
Robert W. Hoy, formerly commer
cial manager of the Harrlsburg Light
and Power Company, who, with Mrs.
Hoy, spent the Christmas holidays
with the former's mother, have re
turned to Elmira, N. Y., where Mr.
Hoy is the commercial head of the
service utility.
