marines sank 29 enemy merchant ships
of 103,316 tons, two transports aggre

6 enemy merchant ships of 20,612 tons,
i Altogether these vessels aggregate
114.977 tons, which is the best proof

GREAT BATTLE UNDECIDED

Athens, Oct. 20, via Paris, Oct. 21.
A dispatch received by .the Russian
legation announces that tfce Bulgarian
troops have not taken Vranya, as has
been reported. They are said to have
been held up by the formidable de
fenses of Vlasaina. However, they
have succeeded in occupying the rail
road north of the town. The great
battle continues, it is stated, and re
mains indecisive. The Serbian legation
denies that the Bulgarians have occu
pid Zajecar.

AMBULANCES LOST AT SEA
