for treatment.

street, lias returned to Smith College,
Northampton. Mass.. to take up her

Miss Elsie Edna Arnold Marries

Lemoyne
The Rev. Harry Nelson Bassler,
pastor of the Second Reformed
church of this city officiated at a
pretty home wedding last evening at 8
o'clock, at Campbellstown. The bride
is Miss Elsie Edna Arnold, daughter
of Charles F. Arnold, a justice of the
peace at f'ampbelfstown, and the
bridegroom is John Norman Schucker
man of Lemoyne.
The house was attractively decor
ated In autumn liowers and foliage
and congratulations and a wedding
supper followed the service.
The bride wore a dainty white
lingerie frock and carried a sheaf of
white asters and fern. There were no
attendants.
Mr. and Mrs. Schuckerman went at
once to their new home at Lemoyne,
dispensing with the usual wedding
trip until later. Mr. Schuckerman who
is connected with the Valley Traction
Co., is First Sergeant of Co. D, Eighth
Regiment, N. G. Pa.
Miss Mae Lutz and Miss Marjorie
Lutz, of 328 South Fourteenth street,
are home after a visit in Washington,
D. C.
Mrs. Frank D. Carney and Miss
Louise Carney came home to-day
after a pleasure trip to New York
City.

a birthday party yesterday in celebra
tion of the fifth birthday of their son,
Ewing Michener, inviting a
number of his small friends to be
present from 4 to 6 o'clock.
The little chap received some pretty
gifts. Games and contests were fol
lowed by a supper, the guests sur
rounding a ten-foot table, gaily dec
orated with asters. A picture was
taken of the party, which included the

Speaking For Suffrage
in Many Nearby Places
The Central Pennsylvania Woman
Suffrage Association, at the request of
the Speakers' Bureau, is sending its
president, Mrs. Mabel Cronisc Jones to
speak for the cause in many places
nearby. On Saturday Mrs. Jones goes
to Newville; the following Monday she
speaks in the U. B. church at Wash
ington Heights: on both Wednesday
and Thursday at Milton, Northumber
land county and Saturday, October 2
at Waynesboro, at a special meeting
arranged by Mrs. James Fisher.
The Central Pennsylvania Woman
Suffrage association is asking for
money to be contributed at once for
necessary expenses and to provide
watchers at the polls. Send contribu

Minister and Bride
Given Hearty Welcome
The marriage of Mrs. Bertha Rohr
hach of Halifax and the Rev. I. A. Col
lom, pastor of the Halifax Methodist
church, took place yesterday at the
parsonage of the Grace Methodist
church, this city, with the Rev. Dr.
John D. Fox officiating.
When the newly-weds arrived at
Halifax a few hours later, they were
given a hearty welcome by the town
at the railroad station. An old-fash
itoned cart, gaily decorated with cards,
pennants and ribbons had been pre
pared to fake them over the streets
and later in the evening the Halifax
band gave them a serenade.
The Rev. Mr. Collom was formerly
minister of the Coxestown and Rock
vllle churches and has held many Im
portant charges in the State in his!
younger days.
Mrs. Charles Zug, of Philadelphia,
is the guest of her relatives, Mr. and
Mrs. George Barringer, of 1841 Derry
street.
Miss Florence Owens, of Philadel
phia, is spending several weeks with
her brother, Ralph Owens, of 1844
Green street.
Miss Winifred Wilson, daughter of
Mrs. F. D. Wilson, of 61 Balm street,
left last night for Mayville Normal
school. North Dakota.
Harry Marks, of 68 North Seven
teenth street, a Tech high school
graduate of 1912. will enter the
Hahnemann medical school next Mon
day.
Dr. and Mrs. John Oenslager, Jr.,
motored to Philadelphia yesterday to
attend a meeting of the State Medical
Association last evening.
