AN ORDINANCE
To authorize the paving and curbing
of Second street, from Seneca street
to the south side of Schuylkill street,
and providing for the payment of
the cost thereof.
Section 1. Be it ordained by the
Council of the City of Harrlsburg and
It is hereby ordained by authority of
the same. That Second street, from
Senecn street to the south side of
Schuylkill street, lie and the same Is
hereby authorized to be paved with
sheet asphalt, on a concrete base, and
curbed with granite, granolithic, or
steel-bound granolithic curbing, the
cost and expense thereof to be assessed
| according to the foot front rule, said
cost not to exceed two dollars per
! square yard for paving and one dollar
I per linear foot for curbing.

Annville. Pa-, May 19.—One of the
largest temperance gatherings ever
held in this town has been arranged
for this evening, when the combined
churches of Annville will meet in the
United Brethren Church and have as
their speaker Dr. George W. Morrow,
I). D.. of Michigan. His subject for
this evening has been announced as
"The Doom of the Liquor Traffic."
