To-morrow evening at 7.30 the third sermon in tile special series will be given on "The Signs of tlie Times." on Sunday evening, May 9. he will preach on "Popular Forms of Idolatry j ! To-day." The last sermon I will be given Sunday, May 16. on "Pe jter and the Keys to Heaven." Sermons of Much Interest to Be Preached by Dr. Fox "Steadying the Ark, or the Majesty j of the Law," will he the subject of a i sermon by the Itev. Dr. J. D. Fox, in i Grace Methodist Church to-morrow morning. The sermon deals with over-anxiety. At the evening service the Rev. Dr. I Fox will speak on "The Tragedy of! Job, Act III," a discourse on the "Great Vindication." This story will reveal the fact that though the friends of Job accused him. of hypocrisy and wickedness, and ex plained the reason of his loss and suf- j fering as punishment for his sins, yet. God vindicated his cause as against the j aspersions of his friends, and gave him i twice as many sheep, camels, and oxen as he had before. Moreover, the jo.vs< of his domestic life were restored. But this was merely incidental toi the real issue. It was the defense oft his character as viewed by the Al-. mighty, that makes Job one of thei greatest heroes in all history. The. study will show that discipline is the. law of life: that the purest gold comes out of the hottest fire; that the de-. stimction and disintegration of the seed is the promise of its reproduction, that the gold of character, and the music sweeter than the song of an, angel come out of bruised and broken* hearts, and that we die to live. THE rSEPI'I MAX "What Makes One Useful, or the* Man of To-day," is the subject of a. sermon which will be preached by the Rev. H. W. A. Hanson in Messiah Lu theran Church to-morrow as a con- < tinuation of his series on "Personal < Problems Met With in Everyday Life."* < STRE^^^^P|^ lb/ PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH Nil | §|f/ THIRD AND PINE STREETS '\j '" Sunday May 2 Preacher, Rev.
