May Be Step Toward Another Bridge to Hi What is believed to be the initial step in another movement toward the construction 01 u bridge from Allison Hill across the Pennsylvania railroad tracks at Walnut street, was contained in an ordinance introduced in City Council this afternoon by Commis sioner H. P. Bowman—providing for the opening of Walnut street from a point 400 feet east of the Cowden street to the western line of Tenth street. For some months it is understood the new bridge movement has been growing in the Kast End and it is said that a permanent organization with a view to pushing the project is under way. The plan, it is said, is to construct a modern concrete structure for from $250,000 to 1800,000 to span from the Hill lo a point at the end of Wal nut street and the Pennsy tracks. A bond issue, it is believed, would have to be floated but whether this might be put up to the people or whether it can be provided for without going before the people has not been de cided.
