liams, of the West Mountain youltry
yards, Naugatuck. Conn. Mr. Wil
liams, with the bird that won lirst
prize in the Grand Central Palace
show. New York, a White Wyandotte
cockerel, took lirst prize here. An
offer of SIOO for the bird was turned
down.
Dr. A. T.. Shearer, a lfarrisburg ex
hibitor, boasted of seven prize pens
to-day. and be was busy showing his
prize winners to the many 'visitors.
Dr. Shearer won tlrst prize for White
Leghorn cooks. The king of Dr.
Shearer's birds is "Dan," a White
Wyandotte.
K. Grey Miles. Siddonsburg, Pa.,
to-day sold a IBaek Minorca for $23.
Thisis a record price. Mr. Miles was
another big winner at the local show.
This is his third show with winning
pens. lie ows a champion iiarrcd
Jtock cokerel. One cup he won was
presented by the Paxton Flour and
Feed Company, for scoring the most
points in winners. This is the sec
ond time he has won this cup and he
retains it permanently. Another cup,
presented by Vance C. McCormiek
was won by Mr. Miles for having the
est dispaly on exhibition. He also
lifted the North American cup for the
best display of American birds.
Beginning to-day birds on exhibi
tion will be offered for sale. The show
