Allies Advancing on
West Flanders' Front
London, Nov. 5, 8.25 A. M.—The
correspondent of the Daily Mall at
Rotterdam says he has received offi
cial confirmation ol' the advance of the
allies on all the West Flanders front
and he adds:
"The German military bakeries have
been removed in a southerly direction
from Ostend, showing the intended
treat of the main German force.
"I have leariied from reliable
sources that last week's transfer of
the ninth German army corps has
been completed from Belgium and
France to East Prussia and that in be
half of their number has been replaced
by volunteers.
"The Germanß are short of big am
munition in West Flanders and trans
port is impossible owing to the inun
dations. Interned Germans say they
can fight men but not a waste of
waters."

Focht a Winner
Latest information Is that B. K.
Focht. former congressman, has wal
loped the machine candidate, F. L.
Dershem, who beat him two years ago,
good and hard. Focht will have over
1,200 and maybe more. He carried
five counties.
Many Harrlsburgers are delighted at
the victory of Congressman Kless, who
cleaned up the Fifteenth district, car
rying every county, including State
Treasurer Young's stronghold, Tioga.
The defeat of Congressman Brod
beck in the York-Adams district was
the result of his alliance with the
Democratic machine.
Congressman W. W. Bailey, the
Johnstown publisher, has defeated
Jesse L. Hartman.
