PUBLIC SERVICE ' GITS HEARING Will Listen to Application of Har risburg and Mechanicsburg Next Wednesday Almost three solid days of hearings have been set for the Public Service Commission next week In order that contracts, leases, charter applications and other proceedings may be cleared up and August devoted to considera tion of Important cases like the Indus trial railroads, tariffs and big engi neering propositions in Philadelphia and Wilkes-Barre. The commission will meet Tuesday and the first hearings will be on claims of excessive fares in vicinity of Chambersburg and excessive rates for electric light in Lewlstown. Among contracts to be acted upon on Wed nesday are the city of Pittsburgh and Equitable Gas and lighting contracts for the city of Lancaster, boroughs of , AVernersvllle, Sutervllle, Canonsburg, | Carrick and Mechanicsvllle. Six elec tric companies are asking charters the same day.
