louth, when it departs
Takes something from our hearts
And it never comes again—"
-n J* ev ," German impressed upon the
lech class. "Use youth," he said,
realize that this period of life, when
se ®™ s endless, is the great time
of life to form habits.
"A young man rarely thinks of what
youth really is. He is much like the
butterfly who flies about resting a few
moments only at one place. The as
sets of life necessary to attain the
good, the true and beautiful which
make up success are youth, vigor, op
timism, endurance, enthusiasm, free
dom from worry, sensibility to re
ligion. The liabilities of life of which
youth should early take note spring
from intemperance, impurity and
cruelty. Lax morals, servile imitation
and extreme recklessness result."
Special music attended the services.
The church was adorned with flowers
provided by the graduating class in
memory of members of Tech alumni
who have passed away. These were:
Edward Rose, '9B; Raymond Morrison,
'10; Leroy Young, '10; and William
Jauss, 'l2.
In the evening Central High gradu
ating class with 140 present went to
Market Square Presbyterian church,
where the big auditorium was crowded
in nave and gallery and flowers and
special music brightened the sen-ices
that centered around Dr. Smith's ser
mon. The graduating class did not,
as heretofore, proceed to the church
in a body but met at the church and
walked down the aisle in cap and
gown. Dr. Smith's words concerned
the battle of life that the students are
about to face. He said their first bat
tles will be with their fellow men,
themselves and the devil. It is in the
every day battles, the conquest of lit
tle things, he said, that we proceed
to the conquest of larger things if such
is our lot.

500 Entries For Hogestown
Horse and Cattle Show
Special to The Telegraph
Hogestown, Pa., June B.—More than
500 entries for exhibits were received
up to Saturday evening in the Hoges
town Horse and Cattle Show, at Big
Head Woods, near Mechanicsburg,
Wednesday and Thursday, June 17
and 18. This number of entries is the
largest recorded in the ten years the
show has been conducted.
The exhibits include registered
horses and cattle, sheep, hogs, poultry,
eggs and butter. A new feature of
the show this year is a tent provided
for small farm machinery, such as
cream separators, butter churns and
other dairy appliances and gasoline
engines, as well as field machinery of
a size permissible in the limited space
of the exhibition grounds.
FARM Kit ROBBED BY TRICK
Special to The Telegraph
Dijlsburg, Pa., June B.—Charles Bil
lett, who occupies the McCormick
farm at Rose Garden was robbed of
over one hundred dollars in an odd
way recently. Late in the evening
Mr. Billett hearing a noise at the
barn, made an investigation, where
he found that one of the horses had
been turned loose from the stable.
After catching and returning the horse
to its sta)l, he went to the house and
discovered that some one had been
there and the money was gone. There
is no clue to the robbers.
