CANADIAN PACIFIC
CARRIED BELOW 200
Reading and Lehigh Run Up a Point on Movement Caus
ing Increase of Covering on Other Stocks
By Associated Press
New York, April 8. The wide break
in Canadlain Pacific, which carried it
below 200 for the lirst time in several
years was the chief development of the
morning session, although it affected
the rest of the market to only a slight
degree. While the tendency was down
ward, for a time, losses were limited to
half a point or so in most cases.
there was a recovery when the
coalers began to show the stimulating
effect of Lackawanna's victory in the
anti-trust suit. Reading and Lelilgh
were run up about a point on this move
ment. causing an Increase of covering
In other stocks. Trading was on a con
siderably larger scale, the forenoon
total being nearly four times yester
days amount In the corresponding
period.
Bonds were steady.
