The firm un dertone of the stock market this week indicated that professional Belling; had been carried to a sufficient extent to bring about a strong technical position. Some low-priced railroad stocks and speculative bonds were weak, but the representative securities moved nar rowly. European selling at times held back the market. Foreign holders of railroad securities were disturbed by the finan cial difficulties of various systems, and London was depressed by the Ulster crisis. At home the speculative posi tion -was changed In no important par ticular. Filing of the anti-trust suit against the Lehigh Valley inaiie only a passing impression on the anthracite stocks.
